Want to do better?

You have what it takes to achieve your goals.

You can grow. You can learn. And you can make a difference.

Start a conversation that will give you the time and space to think about how you’re performing and developing as a leader.

Start a conversation that challenges you to do justice to yourself and the things you believe in.

The leaders and teams I work with across the world are grappling with major social challenges, from large-scale reform and improvement of public services to running organisations that are committed to improving people’s lives. They face different problems, but what they share is a determination to grow and learn as leaders, and to inspire and engage their teams in work that has meaning and impact.

The desire for our work to ‘make a difference’ is natural. As leaders we want to do justice to ourselves, to our goals and to the communities we serve.

But this work isn’t easy.

The pace is unrelenting. The pressure and the stakes are high. The context in which you lead can shift in unexpected ways. Everyone turns to you for support, guidance and direction. Managing change seems to be a constant state. At times your leadership responsibility is exhilarating and draining in equal measure.

And then there are the phases when you feel stale; like you’re going through the motions without enough stretch or innovation. As a leader in a purpose-driven organisation there’s an assumption that the box on motivation and drive is automatically ticked. But that’s not always the case.

Between getting the job done and juggling busy home lives, it can be difficult to find the time and headspace to think about how well you’re doing – or how you could do better. And the higher you go, the harder it can be to find safe spaces to open up, or thought partners who will both challenge and support you.

We talk endlessly about ‘fulfilling our potential’ but rarely define what that means

How do you identify and tackle the habits that hold you back?

Who encourages you to push the boundaries of what you think you can do?

I’m a leader too

The people I work with – in government, in the private sector, and in INGOs – are all striving to save and improve lives.

I understand what it takes to lead and engage teams. I know how to manage change and navigate risk, and how to develop strategy, drive innovation and see projects through from ideas to implementation. I have led system-wide reforms of public services and helped scale a global impact business.

Above all, I know that purpose-driven organisations can’t take motivation and commitment for granted, and that we as leaders need to step up with courage, humility and integrity if we’re going to achieve the impact we want.

What my clients say

Claudine has an outstanding ability to simplify rather than complicate issues and to cut through froth. She provides excellent scaffolding for discussion: enough to retain focus while allowing space and freedom.

Our sessions are consistently practical and outcome focused, re-framing challenges and providing curated access to the the latest thinking and resources on leadership

Principal,  University

Claudine has helped me to step back from the day-to-day to frame what is important to me in this new role.

Our sessions have given me space to explore priorities in terms of both the work, but also the values that I want to bring to the role.

Claudine has helped me to be honest about what may hold me back and how I can address this.

Head of Corporate Affairs, Private Sector

This has been a chance to step back and reflect on challenges honestly and openly. Claudine has an inquiring and open, friendly manner.

She brings insights, enthusiasm, energy and empathy, deployed ably and adeptly.

Director General, UK Civil Service

Claudine created a safe environment to experiment and think through new challenges. She provided practical tips to improve, is very engaging, thoughtful and draws insight.

Really great.

Director, UK Civil Service

I’m not used to talking about myself and Claudine was brilliant at getting me to reflect on the things that were on my mind.

Our sessions gave me time and space to think about my development, including skills gaps, areas where I feel less confident and career ambitions. I now have tools that I can use over time to help assess what my aims are and how I can progress towards them.

CEO,  national NGO

Incredibly helpful coaching sessions to help me with my recent change of sector, future career planning, confidence in decisions I’ve made in my career to date, prompts to work on in terms of leadership style and a clear idea of career and development plans for the next few years.

Very helpful to spend the time focused on these issues amidst a busy role, and has given me a renewed sense of confidence and purpose.

CFO, large international NGO
